On behalf of Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma (UNSURYA) we would like to welcome you to our 4th Annual AVINER International Conference on “Strategic Lessons from Middle East Geopolitical Conflicts: Strengthening National’s Stability and Sustainable Aviation Resilience”. From Geopolitics to Aviation and Economics Resililence, which will be held on the 26th to 27th of November 2026.
This year conference theme will be highlighting the urgency of Iran-American War. We welcome you as Speakers, Participants, Co Host and Sponsors, to a pivotal moment in history, as the ongoing conflict Iran-American War reshapes not only geopolitical landscapes but also the foundations of international trade, finance and development.
The ongoing conflict has disrupted energy markets, strained supply chains, and heightened uncertainty across global economies. Nations are grappling with inflationary pressures, volatile commodity prices, and shifting alliances that redefine the rules of engagement in commerce and diplomacy. Keynote Speaker
Air Chief Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono (born 4 October 1971) is an Indonesian air force officer who became the 24th air force chief of staff, serving since 5 April 2024. He graduated from the air force academy in 1992 and commanded several airbases and regional commands before being entrusted to lead the air force. He was a confidant of President Joko Widodo, having served as his aide-de-camp from 2014 until 2016 and military secretary from 2020 until 2022. Military observers identified him as part of the Solo Gang, a group of military and police officers whose career rose swiftly after serving in Surakarta, the hometown of Joko Widodo.

A respected academic with a Ph.D. in Management, a Master’s in Education, a Master of Public Administration, and a Bachelor of English Literature with Honors, Prof. Dr. El-Kafafi has taught and mentored countless learners across tertiary institutions in New Zealand, Australia, Egypt, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. Rem Tai who is actively serving in analysing and promotion of Belt and Road development for long time. He is the first group of people to promote Belt and Road to the public in Hong Kong. In 2014, he established the first Belt and Road related professional association in Hong Kong, Silk Road Development Association, and being the founding Chairman. He invited the advisers and members including Hong Kong delegate to National People’s Congress, National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Chairman of Listed Group, Ten outstanding Young People awardee. Mr Tai organised and coordinated more than 60 local, mainland and oversea Belt and Road event (Remark 1) in the past 8 years. He is also invite as guest speaker for more than 30 conferences and events including Euro-Asia Economic Forum, Radio Channel (RTHK, Metro Broadcast Finance), Xinhuashe, HKTDC, Mainland city government and many business chamber and NGO. Due to familiar in Belt and Road market, He is invited by The Chinese University of Hong Kong, HKPU and Guangzhou Oversea Affair Commission as Paid Guest Lecturer to deliver lecture to teachers and HKTDC staff for Belt and Road topic. He also got strong experience in Belt and Road development in my personal career. Gita Amperiawan currently serves as Director (President Director) of PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI), appointed officially by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises through Decree No. SK-34/MBU/01/2022 on January 27, 2022, replacing Elfien Goentoro. PTDI operates under the Defend ID Holding, with PT Len Industri as its parent company, focusing on Indonesia’s aerospace and defense industry Military and Professional Background Before his appointment at PTDI, Gita Amperiawan was a high-ranking officer in the Indonesian Air Force, holding the rank of Marsekal Muda (Air Vice Marshal). He served as Commander of the Air Force Maintenance Unit and later as Head of the Subdirectorate of Defense Technology at the Ministry of Defense, reflecting his deep involvement in defense and aerospace technology.
He also previously held the position of Director of Commerce, Technology & Development at PTDI, giving him extensive experience within the company prior to becoming its top executive Education Gita Amperiawan holds a Bachelor’s degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), one of Indonesia’s leading universities, and earned a Philosophy Doctor (PhD) from Cranfield University, United KingdomHis academic background complements his professional expertise in aerospace and defense technology.

Already a published author, Mark began his legal career in the office of the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney. He worked his way up through the ranks, successfully litigating cases. He spent more than five years advocating for victims in the Special Assault Unit where he prosecuted sex abuse crimes. He became a Trial Team Chief and eventually Chief Criminal Deputy. As the Chief Criminal Deputy, he tried murder cases and also instituted a series of innovative crime fighting programs. Appointed as the District Attorney in 2009, Mark was elected in 2010, and re-elected in 2014. Throughout his public service career, he was a vigorous advocate for justice and victims.He formed an Elder Abuse Unit that was a leader in the country. He was the first in the state to use data-driven prosecution. He filed a lawsuit against Big Pharma to hold them accountable for their role in the opioid crisis. Mark also tried some of the most high-profile cases in Washington, including the murder and rape of Special Olympian Kimmie Daily, the murder and robbery of cab driver Mohamud Ahmed, the murder of Nancy Gardner, and the Tacoma Mall shooting. As the elected prosecutor, he also reviewed and made decisions on more than 50 officer-involved shootings that resulted in fatalities. He brings this distinctive experience to his analysis of unlawful use of force by police. His prior experience as a high-ranking government attorney gives him unique insights on lawsuits against the government, corporations, and other large organizations. As a personal injury attorney, Mark and our team vigorously litigate cases of wrongful death, plane crashes, sex abuse cases, government negligence, including officer-involved shootings, and other incidents or accidents causing serious injury. Mark’s victories includes cases against Boeing for the two crashes of the 737 Max 8, as well as other corporations, insurance companies, and government agencies. Mark Lindquist Law has a pending case against Boeing and Alaska Airlines in the door plug blowout on a brand new Boeing 737 Max 9 at 16,000 feet. Our firm represents 30 passengers and is still accepting more clients. Additionally, Mark Lindquist Law represents victims of sexual assaults on planes and other aviation incidents.

This Publication Ethics Statement establishes the standards of ethical behavior required for all participating parties in the 4th AVINER International Conference. To ensure scientific rigor, academic integrity, and objectivity in the proceedings, these guidelines align with the principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Duties of Authors
Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must submit entirely original work. Manuscripts must be free from plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification, adhering to a maximum similarity index threshold of 20%.
Concurrent Submission: Submitting identical or substantially similar manuscripts to more than one venue, journal, or conference simultaneously is strictly prohibited.
Authorship and Contribution: Authorship must be limited to individuals who made significant contributions to the conceptualization, design, execution, or data interpretation of the study. All co-authors must approve the final submission.
Geopolitical Sensitivity and Security: Given the conference scope surrounding geopolitical conflicts and national stability, manuscripts must not contain classified state information, unauthorized security data, or propaganda inciting conflict.
Disclosure and References: Authors must explicitly acknowledge all funding sources, literature references, and any potential financial or non-financial conflicts of interest.
Duties of Reviewers
Objectivity and Impartiality: Peer evaluations must be conducted objectively, professionally, and constructively, free from bias regarding political alignment, nationality, religion, or institutional affiliation.
Confidentiality: All manuscripts received for the double-blind peer review process are strictly confidential documents and must not be shared, discussed, or utilized for personal advantage.
Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must decline to evaluate any manuscript in which they have a conflict of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or institutional relationships with the authors.
Duties of Editors and the Organizing Committee
Publication Decisions: The acceptance of manuscripts relies exclusively on scientific merit, originality, clarity, and thematic relevance to aviation resilience and national stability.
Fair Review Process: Editors ensure a transparent and unbiased double-blind peer-review process, evaluating contributions without discrimination based on the authors’ origin or background.
Handling Misconduct: The committee reserves the right to request corrections, reject submissions, or retract published papers if severe ethical breaches or data inaccuracies are identified post-publication.
